For over 20 years, Frobisher has been shaping the way New Zealanders live with beautiful interior design. What began as a small interior design studio has grown into one of the country's most respected names in bespoke interiors, with a custom Christchurch showroom, a fabric library stocked with the latest in soft furnishings and window treatments, and a refined team dedicated to giving your project real focus.
Rooted In Christchurch
EARLY 2000's
Frobisher began in a small villa in Merivale, Christchurch, where Ann-Marie Appleton started her career. In the early 2000s she took over the business, becoming Creative Director, and was later joined by Mark Appleton as Managing Director. Together they've grown Frobisher into the studio it is today.
The Showroom
As the business grew, so did its home. Frobisher moved to 322 Manchester Street and built the bespoke showroom we're known for today, a custom-designed space complete with a full fabric library and the popular Espressory café.

Our showroom and online store are filled with a carefully chosen collection from Europe and New Zealand's finest designers, selected because they look exceptional, are made to last, and we believe are worthy of a place in New Zealand homes.
