Bourgeon Vase
Named after the French word for sprout or shoot, the Bourgeon Vase is a multifunctional, voluminous vessel designed to lift a plant off the floor and into view. Its removable upper platform raises a pot by roughly half a metre, making it a striking stand for a potted plant or a sculptural piece in its own right. As a hand-glazed natural product, colour varies slightly from piece to piece, and the vase is not waterproof. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen, Malo Sannié & Tommy Hyldahl.
101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
