Brutus Dining Chair

Inspired by the Brutalist architecture movement of the mid-20th century, the Brutus collection spans a dining chair, lounge chair, stool and coffee table, all cast in lightweight fibre concrete for a distinctive textured surface and easier mobility. Each dining chair is hand-painted to create a unique finish, balancing sharp architectural lines with a softer curve through the back and armrests for genuinely comfortable, sculptural seating. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl in 2017.

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
