Brutus Stool

Inspired by the Brutalist architecture movement of the mid-20th century, the Brutus collection spans a dining chair, lounge chair, stool and coffee table, available in lightweight fibre concrete or solid oak for a distinctive, textured surface and easier mobility. Each stool is hand-painted or hand-crafted to emphasise the fine balance between sharp architectural lines and softer curves, resulting in a sculptural statement piece with genuinely compelling seating comfort. 101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
