Cobra Candle Holder

A tribute to the Cobra Arts Movement of the 1960s, the Cobra Candle Holder brings a whimsical, sculptural touch to a dining table or sideboard, with or without a candle lit. Its soft, organic form is unmistakably reminiscent of a human silhouette, staying true to the Cobra artists' practice of working from naive hand sketches toward bodily shapes. Made from hand-glazed ceramic, each piece carries natural colour variation as a result of the handmade process. For safety, candles shouldn't be burned lower than 3cm from the top of the holder.

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
