Dawn Floor Lamp

Where light becomes sculpture, this floor lamp draws on celestial references — from eclipses to planetary orbits — alongside the bold geometry of Brutalist architecture, reading as an artistic composition rather than mere illumination. Layered, circular shades orchestrate a rhythmic play of light and shadow for an intimate, atmospheric glow, while a solid, square base in raw oxidized aluminium anchors the piece, its solid presence harmonizing with the richly textured, almost concrete-like surface of the rounded shades above. 101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
