Dusk Table Lamp

More art object than table lamp, Dusk lets the mind wander toward eclipses, planetary orbits and Brutalist architectural detail. Layered, rounded aluminium shades divide the light into a rhythmic play of exposure, casting an intimate, cosy glow, while the square, raw oxidized base gives the piece an almost concrete-like texture and depth. The contrast between the textured base and the smooth, diffused light gives Dusk its distinct, sculptural presence on a side table or console. Designed by Nicolaj Nøddesbo & Tommy Hyldahl in 2017.

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
