District Eight
Joss Sofa
The Joss Sofa takes its curved upper form from traditional Southeast Asian roof architecture, translating that silhouette into a solid wood base beneath generous, foam-filled seats, backrests and armrests. Designed by Toan Nguyen, it's part of a nine-piece lineup, including a daybed and table, that can be combined and adapted to suit spaces of different shapes and sizes. Each piece carries the same sculptural, monolithic presence, available in a range of fabric and timber stain choices.
District Eight was founded in Ho Chi Minh City in 2010 by Darren Chew and Paul Norriss. The brand draws on Vietnam's layered history, French colonial, modernist and contemporary, pairing warm timber with steel. Every piece is handcrafted in the brand's own Ho Chi Minh City workshop.
