Kami Vase

Inspired by the crisp folds and crumples of paper bags, Kami — the Japanese word for paper bag — brings an uneven, textured surface of curves and creases to a collection of handmade ceramic vases. Offered in three sizes, Kami comes in crisp Bone White, which leans into the paper-bag illusion, or a titanium-plated Chrome finish with a shiny, mirror-like surface for a sleeker look. Use it on its own as a sculptural accent on a sideboard or shelf, or styled with branches and stems. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl.

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
