Offset Vase

Offset takes a historical vase shape and deliberately distorts it, challenging what we expect a vase to look like. Viewed from one angle, it reads as a traditional vase; from another, it becomes an entirely abstract sculptural object, a deliberate shift in perception that encourages a second look each time it's passed. Made from fibre concrete, it has a hand-painted finish, so colour can vary slightly from piece to piece. Designed by Nicolaj Nøddesbo & Tommy Hyldahl.

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
