101 Copenhagen
Orimono Vase
Orimono, the Japanese word for textile, is an ode to the art of working with fabric in both clothing and interiors. Each vase has an uneven surface built up in layered curves, echoing the way drapery falls and folds, for a distinctly organic, handmade result. Offered in Mini, Medio and Big sizes in Bone White and Sand, Orimono is made from hand-painted fibre concrete, so colour varies slightly from piece to piece, and the Big size can stand directly on the floor. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl.
101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
