Pillar Table

Inspired by the rich, lustrous materials of the 1930s Art Deco movement, the Pillar Coffee Table is a statement piece built around the contrast between a paper-thin tabletop and a voluminous, curved base — a defining contrast that gives it real presence without feeling heavy. Made of plated metal in burned black, it comes in a tall and a low version, each offering a sophisticated, sculptural presence suited to both classic and contemporary interiors. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl in 2017.

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
