Sumo Vase Slim

The Slim edition of the Sumo Vase features a deep, carved opening that continues the collection's dialogue between familiar vase shapes and more abstract, artistic detail. Celebrating the human form through its reference to the Japanese sport of Sumo, it rests on narrow, pointed legs in a voluminous silhouette that makes an elegant sculptural statement on a sideboard, console table or open shelving. Each vase is hand-glazed and natural, giving it a textured surface with subtle variation in colour.

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
