Sunao Pot Plant Beehive

Sunao, the Japanese word for honesty, reflects the quiet beauty of simplicity in this collection of plant pots. Each pot is shaped with a timeless elegance that lets the plant take centre stage, and this generous size suits trees and large statement plants. The Beehive finish is cast from the texture of shellfish found along the shoreline, giving the hand-painted fibre concrete an organic, tactile surface. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and resistant to rain, but not frost-proof, so bring it indoors or cover it over winter in frost-prone areas. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl.

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
