The Moon Floor Lamp

The Moon is a minimalist floor lamp made up of carefully balanced geometric forms, with two light sources positioned as compositional fixed points along a hand-brushed, bronze-plated aluminium arm. A large circular shade in hand-brushed, brass-plated aluminium hangs from the arm like a floating reflector in the room, lit on both sides for a warm, soft glow. The lamp is grounded by a cylindrical base in solid grey marble, stabilising the composition and adding a tactile, natural counterpoint to the metal above. Well suited beside a lounge chair or in a reading corner. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl.

101 Copenhagen was founded in 2017 by Danish designers Kristian Sofus Hansen, Tommy Hyldahl and Nicolaj Nøddesbo. Drawing on backgrounds in design, fashion and time spent in Japan, the trio blend Scandinavian restraint with Japanese minimalism. The result is heritage-rooted design with a playful, contemporary edge.
