Nom Chair

The District Eight Nôm is inspired by the calligraphy brushstrokes in chữ Nôm, a Vietnamese script of vernacularized Chinese characters used by the country’s learned class prior to the 20th century. Its frame is sculpted from solid oak, with lines drawn from the balance and rhythm of ink flow. Joints are hand-crafted to create the aesthetic effect of seamless transitions. Refined textile upholstery rounds off its well-balanced seat, whose sense of grounding is comfortably felt from every angle.
